Was born in Rome in 1969.
The eclectic artist, sculptor, painter, art jeweler, designer, gemologist, lives and works between Rome and Nereto (Teramo).
In early childhood, she showed her innate talent for drawing and painting.
Having graduated as a Master of Art from the Silvio D'Amico Institute in Rome, she enrolled at the Roman Goldsmith Academy where she excelled in all her various specialization courses.
In 1990 she opened her first studio in Nereto with her own adjoining artistic foundry, thereby personally looking after all the processing phases of her own art work.
She furthered her studies mastering the Etruscan art and the ancient techniques of Cellini.
In 2005 she returned to her pictorial passion in a completely different and innovative way, perfecting a new technique: taking noble materials - which she has used in her molding work - and pouring them onto the art board giving body to her inner world. Her new creations combine highly three-dimensional metaphysical art works decorated with enamels, rough and precious gemstones which have previously been cut, ground in a mortar, and fused with precious metals. Her first small-sized art works (which she defines as a sort of sculptural painting) were immediately appreciated by both collectors and art industry experts. A long journey therefore began for new research and experimentation, which led to the creation of important art works, transmuting from thought into matter, through the perfect fusion of soul, mind and spirit, merging the observer and artist into a unified whole.
For over thirty years, Rossella Faraone has loved isolating herself in her studio, creating and meditating on the great themes of creation, continuously seeking perfection, elegance and preciousness which she always manages to guarantee with her unmistakable style in every object she creates.
Every piece of her art work is made by hand without the aid of 3D prototyping technologies.
Rossella Faraone’s work is present in various public and private collections.
